I have not owned 1 car that the insides were faded more than normal...

I have owned 1 peice of **** that was from NY and that bitch was a 87 and had more rust than the oldest FL car I ever owned which was a 69 Olds..

Hmm, this thread turned kinda stupid, all states and cities have something wrong with them so there is no point is argueing about it.

Also, paying $3500 or what ever it was on a 140K house is actually pretty high compared to a lot of states. I'd only pay about $600 in taxes for that house but I'd make up for it with income tax which sucks.

The states always get thier money one way or another haha

House I am looking at right now is $239,000, taxes are $4800. Those taxes are considered cheap, lot is 50x125, not much land in these parts.

Damn, thats gotta suck!!! That adds $400 a month to your payment. You could have paid my property taxes for an entire year with just one month of yours.......I pay about $400 a year. Granted my home isnt worth $239K but still. Even if it was it would still be under $1000. It would be interesting to see how much $239K get you in Long Island. Here you could get a brand new very nice all brick 2400 sq foot house with a nice big yard about 3/4 of an acre or so. The real nice houses here go for about $100 a sq foot including the land. New homes the taxes are worse. This home I put a bid on is a 3 bedroom, livingroom, eat in kitchen, detatched garage,2 bathroom, livingroom of course, full basement, 1st floor has 2 bedrooms, kitchen, livingroom, 2nd floor has 1 big bedroom, bathroom, and den. Its by no means large, its one of the smallest houses in the area ( Amityville ), then again the houses around it are much nicer which makes this one look nicer as well, lol. Private beach for residents only, etc..
