Oh give it some time, the dumb *** things they do on a very regular basis in CA will get to you soon. ESPECIALLY the Bay Area.



They still have busted roads because of the earthquake some 10 years ago or more. All cause they have to make sure everything is PC and....

 

If you think about it, if someone is renting a house, the person that owns that house has to pay tax on it right? If that person as any type of brain they would count that tax owed into what they figure for the rent payment, at least I would. And I am sure that they do that. That means that everybody that leaves in a house has to pay property tax.



The government just wants sales tax or some other type of tax so that they can collect more tax but it is spread out so it does not look so bad.



Washington is one of the highest taxed states - because with sales tax there is not a way to easily see exactly how much you are paying so you will more easily pay tax for other things.



Just my thoughts on the subject.

 

yah, my california tax dollars go somewhere, but its nothing you can actually see.

I personally like the warm weather year round.

I hate all the old people here in the winter.

The beaches are awesome. The girls are hot.

My car can be driven year round and I dont have to worry about it getting all kinds of rust.

Unless of course I lived on the beach which I dont so no prob.

I do own a home and can say that my property tax is low compared with someplace like New York.



My house is worth about 140k my bud has a house on Long Island worth about the same.

I pay $3500 a year in property tax he pays close to $10K.
