Yea a Parrothead is a Jimmy Buffet fan!
Do any warning lights come on when the buzzer goes off? Low oil, add coolant, etc.? I had a small crack in my radiator hose on my 86. When the buzzer started going off the add coolant light came on. I immediately pulled over and checked it out. I couldn't see anything, no leaking water nothing was wrong. I even let it cool down and checked the coolant level, looked good. I drove it back home and checked it again. Once again it looked good. Wtf I thought, that stupid buzzer must be fucked up. I drove the car around the rest of the day and everthing seemed to be fine except for the buzzer blaring away. Finally when I was coming home from work that night my temp guage just shot up almost all the way. I pulled over, popped the hood and steam came rolling out. Luckily no damage was done to the engine and it was just a bad hose, BUT don't ignore the buzzer or the warning lights, they are there for a reason.
Otherwise congrats on your license man. I remember when I got mine and the first day I drove by myself (legally). I had a big ol' dip in, and I felt great.
