rotary88 08-05-2002 02:19 PM

ChainSawOnSteroids 08-05-2002 02:21 PM

bigtime 08-05-2002 02:52 PM

UniqueTII 08-05-2002 02:58 PM

Burnouts aren't as easy as they seem, but I have mastered them. Maybe RD will take a pic of the road in front of his house to show my artwork.

Were you driving your 7? What buzzer was it?

bigtime 08-05-2002 03:07 PM

it was the buzzer that goes off when u redline the rpms... but it was going off all the time

ware is it so i can turn the fucker off

bigtime 08-05-2002 03:08 PM

and how do i do a burnout plz it explain it to me

phinsup 08-05-2002 03:13 PM

The buzzer is on the back of the guage cluster. A little white dealy bobber.

ChainSawOnSteroids 08-05-2002 03:15 PM

to do complete a burnout, you must be with the force, and you my son are not feeling it strongly yet

phinsup 08-05-2002 03:17 PM

That poor car is going to be destroyed by labor day.

SoniX 08-05-2002 03:20 PM

I give it a week. then again, I noticed that I redlined 2nd gear through an intersection the other day, for about 15 seconds, I couldn't shift or i would mess up the balance of the drift, I am just happy that nothing bad came of sitting at 8500 for 10 seconds. But damn it was a good slide. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png

UniqueTII 08-05-2002 03:21 PM

The buzzer could mean low coolant or low oil too.

To do a burnout, hold your foot sideways on the brake and gas. Put it in gear, rev the snot out of it, and dump the clutch, leaving your foot on the brake just hard enough to keep the car stopped, but not enough to keep the back locked up. Be careful...it's an easy way to break things.

phinsup 08-05-2002 03:24 PM

Low coolant and oil are the least of bigtime's worries!

bigtime 08-05-2002 03:26 PM

lol no the buzzer doesnt go off ALL the time... only when i like hit the gas between 3-4 rpms

UniqueTII 08-05-2002 03:46 PM

Have you checked the oil and coolant levels? How about the wires leading to the sensors?

bigtime 08-05-2002 03:53 PM

deffinately not oil... i just filled that

bigtime 08-05-2002 03:53 PM

im guessing it shorted or something....

UniqueTII 08-05-2002 03:54 PM

Did you make sure that there isn't any air in the cooling system?

Keep it up and I give your car a month if your lucky before you kill it. You sure it wasnt the low coolant buzzer?

89 Rag 08-05-2002 05:09 PM

Cooling system should be flushed and refilled after any engine work in my opinion..however it colud be the low oil buzzer even if its full...a windage tray is a worthwhile investment as well...

phinsup 08-05-2002 05:11 PM

So judy you are a Parrothead as well I assume?

SoniX 08-05-2002 09:00 PM

umm, "down here in the south" at least the Florida part of the south, a ParrotHead is a Jimmy Buffet fan.

Rotarydragon 08-05-2002 09:12 PM

Check your trailing coil.

don't do it.

The Blue Bomber 08-06-2002 12:07 AM

my buzzer would come on all the time until i replaced the water pump (it was leaking and air was getting in the system) so you might not had enough coolant

isamu 08-06-2002 01:08 AM

Yea a Parrothead is a Jimmy Buffet fan!

Do any warning lights come on when the buzzer goes off? Low oil, add coolant, etc.? I had a small crack in my radiator hose on my 86. When the buzzer started going off the add coolant light came on. I immediately pulled over and checked it out. I couldn't see anything, no leaking water nothing was wrong. I even let it cool down and checked the coolant level, looked good. I drove it back home and checked it again. Once again it looked good. Wtf I thought, that stupid buzzer must be fucked up. I drove the car around the rest of the day and everthing seemed to be fine except for the buzzer blaring away. Finally when I was coming home from work that night my temp guage just shot up almost all the way. I pulled over, popped the hood and steam came rolling out. Luckily no damage was done to the engine and it was just a bad hose, BUT don't ignore the buzzer or the warning lights, they are there for a reason.

Otherwise congrats on your license man. I remember when I got mine and the first day I drove by myself (legally). I had a big ol' dip in, and I felt great.

SoRRoW 08-06-2002 03:56 AM

Yeah I know what a Parrot head it ...I used to work at a Buick dealership ..and this guy who used to work with me at another Kia dealership used to play Jimmy Buffet ever day..same songs over and over..This **** was so annoying..

Theres alot of fake tags made from the Florida tag,and they say Parrot head on them..
