Finaly got a beater

I've had her a week now, good for going back and forth to work but seems to be using more gas than it should. Its an 06 mazda3 S with the 2.3 engine. Almost all the options from what i can tell moonroof, 6 disk in dash changer, ect.. Cant decide if i'll keep it a while or trade it for the speed, but thats a whole different story. Now i just have to start remembering which car im in on the way to work. This thing doesnt like on ramps doing 70

Hey, that thing looks just like my '05 MPV, except for the part where it's not a minivan.



But the paint and the whole front end treatment is like identical.

purge valves arent your car's best friend.

yo mike you ever heard of an 05 mazda 3 with no codes showing no problems in any area (fuel trim, o2 sensor, ect, throttle body bla bla bla) but idles at like 1150rpm?



ive had this problem *** car for a week now and i cant find anything and techline has me running in circles.

people usually complain about em idling low? no vacuum leak? i imagine you hooked up the laptop and you can see how open the throttle is?

throttle pos. relative is actually a little lower then a car that idles normally, its at like 1.5% and the accelerator pedal position is a little lower then normal (swapped out TB's twice and the accelerator pedal twice)



its annoying, im about to try changing the timing to lower it manually.
