Ferrari 360
#1
A day or so ago, we were calling BS on the price of 3 Ferraris, and I decided to start an email correspondence.
"Hello, My name is Billy and I find your red Ferrari 360 of very smart. I wish to know if you could possibly let me know how many oil changes it has gotten since you owned it. I know this is a good price and can smell a good deal a mile away and hope you will get back with me soon about the car. I request that you please not call me since my cell phone works off of minutes."
Thanks,
Billy

I'm actually very tempted to do that one, but it's pretty easy to see it's a joke too soon and I want to string this one along for a while. I suppose the apex seals and e-shaft ones would be best.

Hello,
It is good to hear that the Ferrari was taken care of good by someone not a shade tree mechanic. I hear that these cars had at least 2 recalls that I know of, one pertaining to the eccentric shaft in the throttle body and the other on the apex seals at the rear of the bellhousing. I was just wanting to confirm that these (and any other) recalls were done.
Thanks,
Billy

Did you ever hear/read of that one guy who was selling a track-prepped Miata and received one of those types of "offers"? He posted his 2-3 week long e-mail discussion with this guy, playing with his poor english and making the other guy commit to odd things like "Yes, I will remember to stroke the shaft"
Speaking of which, I did the same thing with an offer to help in a move of Millions of dollars from a distant and recently deceased 'relative' of mine: "Mr. Seaman". Ha, so you can imagine what kind of play on words I had there ("I miss my Seaman badly"). By accident, since I e-mailed him from my office, I gave him (it was on my signature) my office number and he called it! He was persistent too, very odd call. Oh well...
