About 2800 pounds.

 

My mustang really isnt that fast to be honest.. I dont consider a 14 sec timeslip that great. I will say I am a good driver though. And the driver sometimes is the race.



I love 7's and I do plan on getting on. But right now I will run what I have which is a stang.



A good driver in an FD will kill me. But a bad driver in an FD and I will kill him.



Never said my stang was so fast anyway.....



And only the Mustang Convertibles from 87-93 could even come close to 3800... Most tend to be between 2900-3400lbs. Now my convertible does weigh in on the 3600 lb mark... and trust me you feel the weight in cornering. Which is why I love 7's. But there is more to a race than HP and TQ figures.... High revs gets you nothing if you fall out of your powerband. V8's dont need to rev sky high to be fast. Due to the nice fat tq curve most have (with exception to Chevy 305's and 86 Mustang GT's) Though I know most Rx7's like to keep pulling and pulling. I drove one and was pretty impressed. A lot of fun to drive!

Just dont think I am here braggin about my stang. Because believe me I am not. It has given me some troubles. But for being as heavy it is it is fairly quick (though not now thanks the cylinder head)

ok... just didnt want people thinking that I think that my stang is the fastest or best thing around because honestly it is far from it. Right now it is barely rated above POS to me. I enjoy the power. I enjoy the pull from the motor. But a mustang and an RX7 just arent in the same league.... especially when compared to an FD.. Dont get me wrong I love mustangs. But compare a 94 Mustang Cobra to a 94 FD. FD while to be honest is a bit harder to work on and dont shoot me guys but from what I have noticed it also is a bit less reliable. BUT! The car itself seems more mature than a mustang which is usually brute v8 power in a somewhat rough ride. Mustangs are about motor. FD rx7's just seem on the next step up.



But I wont give up my stangs. I love them. But I am beginning to love RX7's more.

Yeah, I like my rotaries, but I know they have their limitations. My old neighbor was getting pinging in his GN last summer, but after numerous times it's still running very well.

i like my rotaries too, its gotten to the point where i don't remember how a piston engine works
