Mine would go down stairs, alone or in pairs, and make a slinkety sound. All it was was a spring. A spring, a marvelous thing. Everyone knows, it's Slinky™.

sad thing is, ours didn't have wheels. we called them "hot axles." when they went through the hand-cranked spinny thing, they flung in random directions, and, yadda yadda yadda, my brother can't finish his sentences

I had one of those old tracks for the hotwheels...not like the ones now...it was powered by gravity. I think I had all of the pieces for it once.
