to be honest, i didn't think that the Enzo was going to have the *****, but have you guys read the July Road & Track? they have the Enzo beating out the "king" McLaren F1 in 0-60 (3.3), 1/4 mile (11.1), skidpad (1.01g) AND slalom (73.0)

that is just insane, excuse me while i go change my pants.

Yeah the only thing the Rx7 comes close to on either of those cars is the skidpad

I wouldn't get upset. It took ten years and a million dollar car to top the skidpad by 0.02. Skidpad is the same as the Z06 and Viper.

All of those test numbers mean **** ALL for those 2 cars. They are meant for high speed on a real race track. 0-60, quarter mile, 200 ft skidpad, 600 ft slalom? Apply these to a road course. They never go SLOW enough for the skidpad to mean anything, they never have to swerve back and forth 4-5 times in that tight of situation either. 0-60? ONCE, at the start line IF they have a standing start. Numbers for the second half of the quarter would reflect acceleration out of a corner, I guess.

They need to get on a track and compare instantaneous G on high speed corners. Acceleration from 60 to 150 mph. Real data that would reflect the purpose of these cars.

Put some R-compounds on a Mini Cooper S and it throws out slalom and skidpad numbers like that. And those cars came with rubber not far short of R-compound.

BTW The Mclaren is FAR sexier than the Enzo. F50 is better looking than both. Pagani Zonda C12 is where I would spend my money if I won a big lottery.
