you SUCK st ps2's! im on my second one, my first one didnt need replacing, but it was one of the first ones here in the US, so it had some bugs, it would scratch the cd's and wouldnt read them if they were too scratched up, so you disk doctor it and it works. we replaced it christmas this year, no problems with the new one, and the old one still works.

And as for the PS2 that's not reading discs, try a laster lens cleaner and if that doesn't work take two 1 inch strips of scotch tape and put the a quarter of an inch from the hole in the center, perpendicular to each other so it looks similar to an = sign, on some PS2's the disc that holds the CD wears down and doesn't hold the disc as snug as it's sposed to so the disc doesn't spin fast enough to read, hope that helps, and now a diagram of the tape trick....

What the hell? You guys must not take care of your **** then. I still have a nintendo that works every time you turn it on, and I was given that on Christmas of '87. Playstation(not the little PSone craph, but the original squared big playstation) got that on Christmas of '96 and it still works. Do you guys keep your systems away from dust, not let anybody else touch it other than yourself, and keep it out in the open to let it cool off as you run it? Also, on some of the first PS2 disc that came out, if they are purple or blue, try putting the disc in like normal, turn the system upside down, turn it on, and flip it back over ONCE it goes to the main screen. That usually helps sometimes.

Or you just play too many ******' video games, and fry the **** out of the system?

Cool

I've never had any of my systems die (except for one Dreamcast, but it was the controller board, someone gave me a fukt up controller), I just sell em or trade em in at Game Stop....

How could you!?!?!?!

I have only sold/traded my genesis. I had a playstation at the time and wanted new games really bad. I will never trade my WORKING nintendo, or my WORKING ORIGINAL playstation. I know of people that have the original Atari 2600's and ****. And they still work well.

Dreamcast was a kick *** system. First 128bit system to come out. I loved Chu-Chu rocket on Dreamcast(best drinking game EVAR!), and Guilty Gear X

Agreed. You can get ANY dreamcast game on ebay though still. And at game or anime conventions also. I am going to be buying a dreamcast soon anyways, for a trip to B-more in July. Gotta stock up on good games.

Sony should make a commercial for that.
