Effect Of Gear Oil In Eyes?
#1
While waiting at super lube for my work truck to be finished, I hear a guy under the other truck yell, and run out to the sink to rinse his eyes. He had dropped the hose, and the handle hit something and it sprayed in his eyes. He rinsed for maybe 30 seconds, put some eye drops in, and went back to work. I don't know about you guys, but every precaution I've ever read always says wash your eyes for at least 15 minutes. Additionally, I changed my diff. oil 2 days earlier, and i remember reading on the bottle that it's been known by the state of California to cause cancer. Hmm, maybe he'll go blind, or die of cancer.
The other workers just stood around and laughed! Don't they train these guys better?

Read labels of other stuff. Like shampoo and chocolate bars. I'm never moving to California.

what a dumbass he should have had the proper eye protection on. and yes you should wash your eyes out for 15 min and seek a doctor to check it out..he might pay a pretty big price for not doing it. The sup. could get screwed if its in the shop Regs that its done that way.. However I've never seen any place that doesn't require you to fill out an accident report and see a doctor.

Oh god, I would wash it out for an hour. The smell of the damn stuff makes me wanna throw up. Reminds me of a moldy, burnt grilled cheese.
