when i was 16 i bought a 85 rx7. white maroon interior 12a. that car rocked my socks. for some reason it ran awsome all it had was a racing beat exhaust some MSD coils and wires and a K&N filter. for the suspention i had boge dampners and ST springs and anti roll bars. my dad was a old SCCA guy and had some cosmos laying around so we got some nice tires(i don't remember what kind) and the car handled pretty good. i drove that car for 3 years everyday. i raced down old highway 101 with my buddies in there 300zx and the other in a MR2. hell i got laid in that car..well not really she bent over the hood. (Many times) so the car started getting high in milage and i needed a more relieable car for everyday driving. i bought a sedan to get back and forth from work and welding school. then i moved out and the apartment building i moved into wouldn't let me have two cars. so i parked the rx7 at my dads house. we drove it now and then untill the plates expired. then i went to get it inspected and it wouldn't pass emissions. ugh. i really didn't have time to mess with it. my dad would go outside and start it up now and them. about a year later i wanted a buy a 91 rx7 i found for sale. so i told my dad to sell it and give me half the money. well being a SCCA guy and spec rx7 just taking off he had no problem selling it. so i got my 91 and my daily driver. the 85 was long gone and i missed the hell outta it. the 91 was nicer maybe faster but im not sure that 85 ran damn good. so about 9 years later i drove the 89 i have now ( a tree fell on the 91 while it was on jack stands) to the race track for a SCCA event. i was watching the IT cars and i thought damn that rx7 looks like my old one. so after the race when they were in the tech inspection i walked over to the car and turns out it WAS my old car. how do i know for sure. well it still had my high school parking permit sticker on the back window. man it was like seeing a old freind. of couse i asked the dude if it was for sale. he said no. he said he has never had to change anything on the car except what needed to be done for saftey stuff. same engiene same gear box. differnt exhaust. same carb. i will buy that car back someday. but i don't think i could get her to bend over the hood these days. oh well

I'm not sure I'd be willing to lend out my T2 under those circumstances. I'd need to see some pics of the girl to estimate her mass and do some vector analysis on the downward forces at various thrust angles. The T2 hood is aluminum you know. Might not be so much an issue with a steel hood, but still....
