Not stock anymore, no. He did break 8's with the stock bottom though... Not sure of the HP numbers, but it sounds close.

fiddles around looking for my old issue of Turbo that had those supras on the dyno it.....

a co-worker did some flowbench testing for him.



the 8 sec head is on the right...1928 BMW head on left for reference





i know the motor....it was never "stock"

it had lots of oiling stuff done to it...there fore its not stock

when they say stock bottom end, I believe they mean stock crank and rods.

and helped lay the carbon for the front end a small amount ( handed the guy a bottle of laquer thinner)

the record for whp in a 2jz on a stock block is 958... but the supra is obviously a better performance car that the 7, the supra competes in the 500 section of the jgtc, and the 7 used to, but was moved down to 300 because it had no chance in the 500.

JGTC is an invalid racing series as far as i'm concerned.
