there is a small drag strip called Island Dragway, in Great Meadows NJ. It's a good place to race, not big and commecialized like englishtown. Anyway they do not have many imports there ever, but they are considering putting together an import class with some decent payouts. They are having a meeting on Saturday Feb. 1'st to discuss this and other things. All racers are invited, and they will be serving lunch on them.. So if you are interested in helping this get going here's where you have to go

i've heard of Island, supposively the reason it isn't very big is because the track has a bump at about the area that most people shift to 2nd or something that ***** up people's times.



At least that's what people tell me, and i think it was island they were talking about, i could be wrong though

its only about 15 min from my house...maybe I'll check it out

Where is the actual strip? I grew up very close to Hackettstown. I never knew about the place.

yea i've never been there personally to see if there was truth to it but about 1/2 the guys i know say there is a bump and 1/2 of them say there isn't.



but since i know you've been there i'll agree with you

it's right on rt 46 been there a few times. raced the TII there against all the domestics and beat them. when i had the FD there "wowed" the track officials when i broke my axle. " that car should go 11's if you could get it go straight ! "



its fun beating up on the domestics there ! :bigok:
