Thats another thing that is Illegal to do..."drop you"..if you have an existing policy they cannot drop you..they can however raise your rates sky high..(x-fer you to high risk bracket)..Or choose to not renew policy when current one expires..but they cannot drop you 3 months into a 6 month contract.
