Spirit realms drops of the country

Sulinger bull sip and ski oriel flint find many trailers - to eddy around the Brockumer market liquor

of Simone Meyer

Sulingen - it is to bring lame oxen on the legs. Because many believe that with the Sulinger bull sip animals were originally rubbed in. In reality however pharmacist Hans August Dunker brewed the famous halfbitterly for the own belly. "it wanted to burn itself a good herb liquor, as Digestif", tells Jens Dunker. Its father filled up 1949 the first bull sip and let the Gebraeu in neighbouring restaurant operator/barkeeper shank test: It pasted sample bottles with Jux labels: "hydrochloric acid roughly" stood on it - or "concentrated restitution fluid against lameness of the horses, cattle and course oxen". This 43prozentige means tasted to the guests in the pub so well that they ordered themselves again and again "this bull sip". The prescription is unchanged for 56 years. "we breed the herbs still", say Dunker, which sells its cult liquor until to America.

A similarly successful business set in motion also village pharmacist ***** Drube in the small resin place Schierke: It had in the twenties regularly raus, around the digesting problems of the kurgaeste after all too fat meals too lindern. Instead of Magenpuelverchen it gave a burned halfbitterly: "ski oriels flint", designated after the granite cliffs at the foot of breaking into, enjoyed at first only kurgaeste. Today once per hour several thousand bottles leave the production roads in bath loud mountain.

Like Sulingen and Schierke many cities and places with spirit-rich drops decorate themselves: the of Bremen with her "old person senator", the rust ochers with their Doppelkuemmel. Who does not have an own prescription, orders with brennereien. Thus also the Uchter stain remover was not brewed in marks the Uchte. But whom disturbs when drinking? Mood and advertisement make main thing, the short ones.

With the strategy it created the municipality Brockum in the television: To the 50. Brockumer autumn market let it sketch its own goal water, which caused much eddy: "Brockumer Stutenpisse" is called the herb liquor, suitably the traditional horse market. "the first days were not easy", remember Buergermeisterin Ingrid Thrien wild insults. Meanwhile it resigned itself to the name. "the Kroever naked *** is poured out so long" - so for a long time one can order a "urine sample" in Brockum also.
