it probably has to do with the fact that nowadays there are about 100 different ways to view the internet but an actual pc/computer still can do certain things the portable devices cannot. it probbaly loads something in your computer, or uses some kind of coding (ASP, java, cgi/perl, AJAX, bla bla bla) that 99% of portable devices dont use...therefore they reccommend only using the charger portion of the site w. a computer.
