Honestly, do you really want a new 4th gen RX-7? I think they should let the RX-7 name pass on.
That doesn't mean I think that Mazda shouldn't attempt to make an all out rotary sports car (with only two seats!). I just think the name should signify they've moved on. Therefore, it should be the RX-9. The rotary engine and all of Mazda's rotary offerings have lots of history and heritage, but it doesn't lie with the numeral "7", it lies in RX. Thoughts? |
I'll stick with the FCs.

RX-7 flows so much better and rolls off the tongue so much smoother than any of the others though.

I disagree. If they were to do that then the RX8 would be considered an update for the 7, which it isn't. The 7 is an all out sports car, the 8 is a sporty sedan. in 2006 you will see the real 7 update.

completely disagree with the 9 concept..
mazda needs to retain the 7 designation.. a different number would indicate a different car alltogether.. |
As long as I have the money to get one they can call it an RX-7. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png
