The AMDs are junk in my opinion...they don't let you overclock as easily and if you do get it to overclock..they burn up. AMDs are also seen in more of the lower line computers...thus cheaper. Intel has a strong backing and I love the Celeron...so oh well. Again, this is my opinion, so oh well.

Depends.

I'm running a Duron right now as it was very cheap. Of course if the fan stops spinning for all of 2 seconds the CPU turns into a lovely peice of slag. AMD has always had a problem with this.

As far as who has the better architecture...

Intel at this point in time has AMD beat architecture wise, at least from a tech standpoint. More flexable and theoretically faster.

In Theory

Intel currently has the speed lead, but if you do a price comparsion most would buy an AMD.

Sooo what would I buy?

Depends...

Intel just revamped the Celeon line, it's competative again.

The big question is will AMD's StrongArm 64 bit architecture take off?

I"m had both, i go back and forth between them. Usually buy AMD cause is cheaper but i can tell the difference between them, the intel have more muscle specially for games and graphics. My next chip is going to be Intel.
