Being a doctor or a dentist isn't necessarily what it used to be. Most of my money ends up in someone elses pocket, like the IRS and very little of what I work hard for goes to me.
Right now, things are changing around for me. I ahve only been in practice for a little less than 4 years now so I am stiill behind the curve but it is changing. I have one car -- my pride and joy, 87 RX-7 GXL. I live in an apartment, not a huge home like some may seem. I have a huge amount of expenses and overhead that most people just can't fathom. My bonus is that by owning my own building and the land it sits on, I have my retirement pretty much set. I do plan on retiring young enough to enjoy the fruits of my labor and have no plans of it going to any kids since I have none and have no plans for any.
And I don't take anything wrong that folks may say about me being rich. I don't mind being envied. It is a good feeling to be able to get what you want, when you want it and not have to make plans to afford it.
