ok.

So i have been sitting around the past week or so and been think about the 7 i wanted to get. Since the start it was always an fd. However now I'm really considering a FC, particularly the T2.

Now you may ask why and such. Well i figure this i'll be getting about $13-14k for my truck (got $500 deposit, guy never returned, $500 in my pocket woo) and with that I can either spend like $10-12k for a decent FD and have a couple mods put on, mostly just reliability stuff so no giant power increase

OR

I can get a nice looking T2(89+) and put about $8-9k worth of mods onto it, potentially making it into a monster.

OR

I can try to find a cheap T2(89+), or a T2 shell (with trans and diff, unless i find the trans and diff seperate for cheap), and start work on a 20b swap with the money i have left over. I'd be doing all the installation and such myself and I'm relatively good at part hunting, and this board is a great resource for such things.

-----------------------------------

those are basically the options I've given myself. My main goal is to have a street legal drag car basically that can also handle the road nicely (i was feeling autox and such but now im sorta into drag racing more again).

also anyone got the going rate for an s5 t2?

So opinions please, help me make a choice!

Well, it seems to me that if you are getting into the drag racing scene more and more than you should go with the fc and turn it into a monster like you said. You said that you would not be increasing the power of the fd much so what good is that in the drag racing scene. If you have the money to turn the fc into a monster that will satisfy everything that you seem to want.

Just my $.02

it all depends.... a FC if you put money into you won't get it back but a FD if modded nicely can get back the money you spent on it....
