I wanted to do something with the ugly *** fan shroud, I was going to paint it, then have a new one made out of aluminum etc., really couldn't make up my mind.

In addition my dad has gotten hooked on the project and took the fan shroud away from me (you would have to know my dad, I guess, to understand the meaning on that)

Well, he dropped it off at the house today, and I have to say i'm pleased with the results...

He was thrilled at the "original" idea he came up with!

He had the body man polish the shroud to death, then spent a couple of hours coming up with a design to make in decals at the sign shop.

I didn't have the heart to tell him it wasn't a new decal, I let him bask in his inginuity, and thanked him for the gift.

why not just scrap the shroud? I thought I heard that it didn't do much for cooling anyway...

Actually it does help out a ton in stop and go traffic, that is where the belly pan and shroud do the most good.

Initially I was after the looks thing too, but even in the n/a form i'm not willing to compromise on performance, even in stop and go to get to places where the car performs the best.

yeah. there won't be much a performance difference between electric and clutch fan, but it is extra money that could be spent on performance oriented stuff....
