we thought you could only use the is300 tranny with that motor, without going crazy money for bellhousings, and not only that, but trannys get broken, so you need something available. but we figured it all out now and are undergoing that swap soon.
is you are using an IS motor you can use the supra 6 speed tranny, it bolts up directly with no work, you just need a supra clutch. Don't ask why i know this, heh, anyway those will be alot easier to get than a manual IS tranny, and its a getrag so have funny trying to break it. I think we've got a spare around the shop somewhere if you need it.

anyways....guys seriously why argue and bitch at him? whats there to gain? its a cool project, its not like he bought a shell and put in the engine, he did have rotary at one point but for what he was doing he wanted something different, holy ****!!!! lets kill him!

... no...

i personally wouldnt put in a sr20 in my rx7, but its not my car .... i have a lot of respect for the sr20, cept if i DID put a 4 cyl in the car itd def be the 3sgte ... people forget about that engine but its got ***** if not more ***** than the sr20

and 6 cyl twin turbo.....vg ... no one gives that engine enough credit either....its just that most 300zx fanatics keep their car mint looking and air fresh in a locked garage and dont mod.....while the supra and skyline freaks mod like crazy.....

anyways.....i really dont understand the point of all of you looking like complete tools on an online forum making challenges and threats towards each other because one guy modded his car the way he wanted to

be pissed if he comes over and puts a redtop in your car because you didnt want the engine in it...but dont be mad at him
haha, good one, ill try to refrain from installing sr20's into random rx7's...

but as for the 3sgte, trust me that was our first choice... but we didnt have one on hand, and the biggest problem with that is the transmission, and we didnt have the time to get it all together. but we do have time for another rx7 we have

ur looking at the mr2 3sgte right?.....i think you should be able to use the alltrac 3sgte....thats gonna be hard to find though

and you never answered my question.. Why did those engines blow and who built them and tunned them?

And I have my own buisness going right now here...

I may however be comming back to the states in a year or two and starting a shop somewhere in the midwest for all you guys in that area...
*cough* Ames, Iowa *cough*

Hey Chris, which one of the 3 guys hovering around your car at Rotorfest were you?
lol.. you'd be my only rotory customer if I did it there.. , but it will be within a 3 hr drive or so from there...

Chris
There's another TII around here...lol. There are a few FDs in Souix City (hey Jimmy and Dan) and Dubuque...and poss is near Omaha. If you build a shop within 5 hours of here, I'll be there.
So, If I build it you will come... We're going to see what we can make happen over the next year or two...

Reading this thread so makes me want to take a part an engine and put it back together to see if it works. I can't imagine a better job than working on cars.

Dragon it sounds like you have a very nice life.

Maybe someday I'll be able to say I've built 30+ motors!

To comment on the SR in the Se7en: the first time I saw the SupraRX7 combo, I didn't much like it, but it grew on me. I just have this thing with 4 cylinder motors, I just don't like them, I dunno why.

But anyways, the car looks very nice and TopicsII your creativity is what's impressive!

I chose not to do a 6cyl, becuase i was tuning my car for 3-350rwhp max for drift, so why have a motor with another 200lbs over the front to really throw off the handling. thats why i went 4cyl.
