That's ridiculous.
I don't care about tickets.
100 dollar fine? bah, whatever...
I get pissed off becuase insurance uses it to destroy you...its not just a 100 dollar fine, its your *** getting busted up for the next several years especially if you enjoy high performance sports cars like we do here.
I wonder if the cops really understand that its not just a 100 dollar fine but its points on peoples licenses, insurance screwing, and huge hassle. They need to make a decision on tickets and whether or not they simply want to use it as money revenue generator or something legit. It's setup as something legit, but they use it to raise money most of the time so the people theyre trying to protect they end up screwing in the end.
Sure by law it doesnt matter if youre only going a few mph over the speed limit even on a deserted road that noone has driven on in 50 years and is in perfect condition 500 miles away from any city whatsoever you can still get a ticket. But crap, if theyre gonna start pulling crap like that you might as well start arresting everyone who has ever removed one of those tags on their bed.
It gets even worse with citations taht aren't simply speeding violations but ones that are by interpretation. For instance I got a ticket for reckless driving because on the way to gradfest i accidently locked my brakes up coming into a parking lot because I almost missed the entrance...
So my reckless driving ticket is the exact asme as someone who was doing burnouts and donuts in a crowded parking lot full of pregnant women?

Btw, i got the ticket taken down to a warning, got lucky with some people i know at the PD, but still.
Also: what does a warning mean, does that mean it still goes on your record?
