I sit down to eat dinner tonight at 7:30 and as soon as i start to eat my cell phone rings, its my freind asking me to come over tommorow and work on his girlfriends car ( early 90's v6 thunderbird ). I was already over there early to where i could have just stopped by if i had just known, but now since my car isnt running i have to wait till 10:30 when my brother gets home have him give me a ride there so i can do the work sometime tommorow after they get out of school. Best part of all i dont get paid **** to do this! I was planning on getting some of my **** done tommorow to hopefuly i can find time later...

thats sad man.. you should be hit with an oar.

sometimes you gotta help people out because they are your friends. in other words, put others before yourself... sometimes it'll come back to benefit you.

quit bitchin' about having friends who need your help, all u gotta say is "no"

ohh geeez,

let me clear something up here.

it's depressing he can't work on his car,

not it's depressing to help out his friend.

no negativity meant with my post at all.

I have to agree I am always helping my friends with their cars. So I rarely get the chance to work on my own and when I do I don't want to be getting a call from my friends asking if I will help them. Only cause I know I will and my car will sit for a longer time.

I helped a girl at work recently. Her starter went bad on her taurus. I drove all over town and got the part, drove to the wal-mart parking lot where the car was broke down, jacked it up and replaced the starter. Then drove the car to her house for her. And I didn't accept any money for my time. Felt good to help out.

I do that too. We're all too nice for our own good.
