we have inspection here in Canada when you put back a car thats been "parked" for over two years such as mine.
The guy was the biggest jerk ever. He couldnt pass my car because 1-the seat was so rusted it couldnt move, missing exhaust gaskets, battery was loose (needed a bracket) . When I fixed all that, he asked me for a $15 fee because I had to come back. BS I told him, that guy was the biggest crook ever. Even his nephew, whom I know, told me to watch out......he was the only inspector in town.....and now....he got fired from his job....coincidence?

Cops aren't dicks unless you persue (sp) them into being one. You act like a dick to them, t hey're gonna do the same to you. Not all cops are everywhere, everytime of the day. They all don't get all the "bad" guys you say.
So.... you're saying they're on a power trip because they're protecting you? They're telling you don't speed.... because it's dangerous? Yeah okay. I don't want to be any where near you, when you speed, and can't stop in enough time and slam into me, or someone I know.
If you have ran into a few "bad" cops along the way, you can't say that "all" cops are horrible. That's not right and fair. Most cops who are dicks, per se, to you is because probably the attitude you give them when they give you a ticket or better yet when they first pull you over. If you actually took the time to see a cop, be nice to them, and don't act all tough - then maybe you'll see what cops really are. They're human, like all of us.
I'd like to see you be a cop for a day, and then tell me that they are "power tripping dicks". You dunno the line of work they go through to keep you and everyone safe. Go walk in their shoes before you discrimiate them.
No, actually, when I get my first ticket, I will KNOW WHY. Because *I* sped. It is quiet the common sense. YOU SPEED, YOU GET THE TICKET. You get caught, then well, too bad. I've been told by a cop that I know here in town, that he was gonna pull me for doing 52 in a 35 (which wasn't true, I was doing 45 in a 35) and he was gonna give me a $148 ticket. I didn't deny or try to get out of the ticket, but I told him I knew I was speeding. He said he didn't feel like giving me the ticket so early in the morning, but next time he will.
This is really my opinion on all this, I'm really tired of people discrimiating cops in general. Walk in their shoes for a day, then come to me and tell me that they are "dicks".
Gulf Breeze is less than 20mins (or ~9 miles) from Pensacola, FL.
