Finally decided to pick up my bass again. Haven't played it for a couple years.

Bought some nice flat wound strings today and a new wall plug for the amp. (somebody cut it off?!?!?)

So I string up all the strings nice and loose and plug in the tuner. The tuner tells me I'm still flat on a low B (it can tune a 6 string bass), and POW, the E string lets go! Brand new frikken' string!

So now I gotta go back and see if they've got one layin' around. All the other strings tuned just fine.

Anybody else play? Is the music on tabcrawler.com accurate?

I didn't know you played bass, Tyson.

i remember one day in high school. the first day of class when we were doing our "hi i'm mike, i like cheese". dave gets up and says "hi i'm dave i like to play the guitar" and the teacher says "do you play with a band?" he says "no, just myself" and she says "do you sing when you play with yourself?"

Try a bass low E!

Cut my knuckle at about the same time. Don't know if the string did it or not...

No.

I took about 6 months lessons and jammed with a buddy some. When I say 6 songs I mean it!
