No... I thought Gm had like a 30% stake in them.



My is made in USA. Assembled in Illinois with Canadian, american, japanese and mexican parts. I'm worried about the electrics in the car... All the harnesses I've come across said Made in mexico... $hit.



Hence why the Mazdaspeed6 is so nice. It's all made in Japan with Japanese parts.



The other day I bought a fuel filter for the rx7. On the box it said made in China... yikes!

Speaking of that, pt cruiser brakes do this too, drivers side gone passenger a plenty, and yes factory stuff is way too expensive. I never did brakes on any of my subys, course i never had one past 36k, legacy still had 6mm of pad when it was offed for a new ride.

yeah mazda usa buys those from kragen and reboxes them. in japan, you still get the real filter

its tricky too, if the part number ends in a -9U chances are high you're getting screwed. some of those those you arent, like o2 sensors, those are still oem, just in a slightly different box
