I'd be down with it, I don't know what help I could be in the organization, but i am willing to donate time and effort of course.

You guys are great! Next summer would be good because we'd have over a year to plan details/routes and get sponsors. I'd hope for some oil company and hotel sponsors...or at least some discounts...that'd be badass.

 

Between the bickering and the bulshitting it's some times hard to tell, but Nopistons is a great group. I'm always proud to be a part of it, it makes all the effort, hard work and spare time well worth it. There's always people here to pitch in when a fellow member is in need, in any way possible, money, moral support whatever the case. i don't think think there is one person in the Nopistons family that wouldn't give any resource available to them to help out a fellow member.

I've been helped by so many members from this board it's overwhelming. Not only with advice and constructive criticism, but actual manual labor, deals on parts...whatever I've needed, these guys have helped out. I'm going to cry now.

Anyhow, one more thing I was tossing around was the possibility of setting up a slush fund for members in need or down on their luck. Maybe 4 members go down to the bank open a savings account, we donate to it and if someone needs we could give them the money. If it never gets used we donate it to a charity on an annual basis or something like that. I dunno maybe it isn't feasible, but I know it felt good to know there was some cushion and people behind us when i we were/are faced with thousands of dollars worth of mdeical bills. It's one of those tings you never wan tto happend but some times it does.



Just a thought I have been tossing around, but the logistics seem a little dirty.

 

That's a pretty good idea. We all know who is dedicated here and who isn't, and we know pretty much who is trustworthy, so it shouldn't be abused. It's worth some thought.

 

lmao, oil company. hot rod does something like this. they start in la and they have an intinerary of stops and they just keep picking up people

Hey since the day i got onto nopistons i knew right away this was a TON of guyz/Girls that were all a family and thats exactly what it felt like and when i asked for help as a newbie i didn't get any hard times at all i got help and advise from the best i would more then love to help and research and anything needed to make this idea come upon next summer.... that would be sweet i think its a great idea but ya'll can't forget about us up here in ILLINOIS THAT WANT TO HELP AND DO THIS... and if you opened it up to not just 7's but everyone in general it would definatly help in a wider variety and make more money i think. and then maybe this could become a anual thing.... id like to be known as trustworthy around here
