Crappy Ass Weekend
#1
Was in Charleston Sunday, visiting wife's relatives; when I got a frantic call from my mother that my Father was having a heart-attack. Flew 110 miles home to be with my dad. Turns out he needed to have angio-plasty done to open a total blockage in one of his vessels. Bad hing is he has several other blockages that angio-plasty can't fix. So as soon as he is strong enough he has to have open-heart surgery. He is only 60 and in better shape than me.

2 good things here.
1. he is only 60 so he will bounce back fast.
2. He is in good shape. That will go a long way in recovery too. I bet you'll hear that from the docs too.
Prayers and Thoughts.

I agree, they can do amazing things, my grandfather had quad bypass surgery, he died later, the surgery extended his life by 7 yrs, he did not die from a heart attack, but from a broken heart, my grandmother had died a year earlier. Best of luck bud, he will pull through fine
