I took these two pics a few years ago through my telescope with my digi cam. I just held the camera to the eyepiece and then resized and lightly processed the images on the computer. They are not too great but I'm bored so I thought I would see if there are any other rotary astronomers.

Here is the scope. I still have it but I sold the mount to finish my RX-7 project. It is a 12" Meade Schmidt-Cassegrain compound telescope. The pic was taken at an observing site about 60 miles south of Phoenix.

Those last two pics were taken through my 6" f/9 refractor, shown in this pic. The man standing next to it is about 5'6" tall.

Thanks. I miss Arizona when I see these pics again. The desert is perfect for looking at the stars. I met so many engineers, consultants, managers, etc. at starparties (when everyone meets at the same place with their scopes) and made a lot of friends.

Oh...I thought star parties were when geeks gathered around to play the star wars card game and eat s'mores. My bad.
