another note you may or may not know, sturgeon are where the highest price caviar comes from. The russians about wiped them out because of this resource.

Carol Brown, who got hit by a 36-pound sturgeon about 10 years ago, had to have plastic surgery to repair her broken nose.

"My children thought an alligator had jumped in the boat," said Brown, 50, of Lake City. "By the grace of God, I lived, because it should have broken my neck."

At the hospital in Gainesville, nurses took one look at her mashed-up face and asked what happened.

Brown's husband joked: "I can tell you she'll say "Yes, sir' to me next time."

Abruptly, the nurses took her husband and two children into another room for questioning.

Remember the octopus?

Catch This, Suckers!

CLARKSVILLE, Ind. (AP) — A 20-year-old Jeffersonville, Ind., man was trying to catch catfish in the Ohio River when he landed an octopus.

David Stepp made the catch and showed it to Bill Putt, a park ranger at the Falls of the Ohio State Park.

Putt snapped photos of the dead animal, which measured six feet from the tip of one tentacle to the other. Putt deposited the octopus in a park freezer, saying a marine biologist might want to examine it.

The octopus is one of many weird discoveries at the falls, where park crews and visitors have found crocodiles and piranha-like tropical fish over the years.

Putt says because they live in salt water, they don't survive long in the Ohio River's fresh water.
