I have this old computer at work that has all our old bills on it, its a DOS billing program, can I just put them on floppy disks to put a copy of it all in a new computer? There is no CD writer in the computer.

Can I do it with a file transfer cable?

Will I be able to copy the whole billing program?

Anyone know?

you can copy to floppy disks as long as a single file is not greater than one disk..... if need be you zip them up to multiple disks

If it's bigger than 1.2 or something megs than you can't fit it on one disk

in dos try going to the directory and going "XCOPY /?" to see a list of ****, so you can copy all the files and recurse subdirectories and files and ****

dont know how complicated your program is though

its a fairly simple billing program, but by law you have to keep the files a while

Dos is really straight forward, if you can get the program onto disks and onto your home computer, then it'll work.

You could even say dos is black and white.
