Runaway cow survives encounter with Taser
WALTERBORO - Colleton County Sheriff's Deputy Jeff Scott used a Taser twice Monday on a cow threatening to cause an accident by wandering along a road, according to an incident report.
Deputy Scott's supervisor gave permission to use the Taser to stun the animal so its owner could rope it.
The first time the animal fell to the ground dazed, but not in a position where the owner could lasso it. Even after a second zap, the owner couldn't corral the animal.
Then the Taser prong fell off, and the cow in turn ran off.
Deputies spent several hours chasing the cow in and out of traffic before suspending the pursuit, according to the report

now, i'm hardly an expert, but ive never seen a cow actually move faster than walking speed....
You ever hear of running with the bulls in Spain?
The scarier thing is that they use the same taser on people, yes some people maybe refered to as a cow, but there is hardly the mass there to constitute that many volts.

mmm, electrocuted beef
This past weekend I had a lengthy conversation with two law enforcement officers about the effects of a gunshot v. pepper spray v. tazer. Quite interesting, one showed off the scar on his hip where he got tazered (which I guess you have to do as part of getting certified for tazer).
One worked in a prison for awhile, he said when threatened with the tazer, he's had hardened criminals freeze and drop to their knees, and even had one guy cry, because they have been tazered before and knew what it was like.

That said, I've never heard of an innocent cow.
