I see we all failed to mention the fact that history was made, in that we elected the first african american to the office of the Presidency. But don't worry about stepping forward, let's all just continue to blame the President for all our problems.

I'm interested to see what happens the first few months in office. I think the statement that Joe the Biden made about a generated event happening that would test Obama, may be more than a "rhetorical flourishe." I just worry about some sort of domestic terror event where all weapons are confiscated for the "common good" of the people. But who knows, however you can bet the assault weapons ban will be back on in no time.

Meh. It bugs me that people make a big deal of this. The man is half white. Who cares?
Is he qualified? Can he do anything to improve our government? Those are the only questions I'm interested in hearing the answers to, but apparently a lot of other people want to celebrate the fact that we elected a black man to presidency.

Agreed, I could care less if he's white black or native american, is he qualified, can he get the job done, etc... I do think women shouldnt be allowed to run since they aren't allowed to vote, seems a bit odd to me
