what is:
XWPCHostservice?
is it something thats supposed to be running all the time?
My computer seems slow and I notice thats running in the systems monitor
I think it is to run some kind of wireless adapter or something. Other than that im not sure. It probably came with something you bought and was installed for it.

Yeah, it looks like it's part of the software for a Linksys Wireless component. Just from a quick google search, it looks like there are problems with that service crashing. Don't know if that could be what's slowing you up or not.

dump it and use the windows wireless zero config svc. no it's probably running anyways, and is a simple way to connect. of course, if you have constant disconnects, it can be annoying to use because it won't always auto-reconnect. iirc, apple's version of bonjour for windows can be pretty cool to use as well
