I think if somebody sat down and did the math, they would find that computers in business (e-business excluded) are a net negative influence on the bottom line.



I mean, look at the costs--hardware, software, IT staff, maintenance, etc. And the system goes down, or there's a "computer error". Too many computers, too few people who know what the hells going on.



This from a longtime computer buff with A+ certification and limited IT work experience. Go back to pencils and paper! It's just a toy, people!
