I'm at my 3rd position within the same state government office. I starte 20 hours a week right out of high school, and eventually got promoted to a full time position. This also influenced my major, so now I'll have over 4 years experience in the same field that I'll get a degree in by the time I graduate.



I've never bagged groceries, flipped burgers, or sold anything. And I'm glad for that, I'd end up killing customers.

 

 

My freshman year I did not work during the school year...but worked for Seiko watches that summer. During Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Spring break I worked for UPS and FedEx.



Sophmore year I was a sales clerk at a department store...Summer of sophmore year I worked for a plumbing and mechanical contracting company.



Junior year I continued the sales clerk, and then score a design job as part of Virginia's Smart Road museum exhibit team...Continued that during the summer.



Senior year I continued my exhibit design job through the whole year.



Damn I miss college!!!

My first year at Mines is 4 days from OVER!

Anyway, I worked in the library first semester for about 6 hours a week. I was limited due to a low amount of work-study I got. This summer Ill be working full time for an engineering firm doing 3D cad, Id tell you more but its classified.

 

Right now I'm working as a computer programmer for my school's financial aid office and at UPS as a loader.

 

for those that worked at ups and fed ex, did you apply in person or did you over the internet? i cant figure out how to apply online.

 

I worked at UPS for a year, I got hired cuz I know people, but I would go in person if I were you. they dont have any take home applications, and I dont know about the net, but going inside would be your best bet.

 

When I first worked for UPS...over 6 years ago, I walked into one of their facilities and said "I hear you guys sometimes hire students to help the drivers during the busy Holiday season?" They handed me the papers and I started working.



For FedEx I worked in their warehouse for 2 weeks...I got that job through a temp agency...who happened to be in the same corporate complex. Just happened by chance though...they could have put me in some other warehouse...it was only during a spring break.

 

yeah most people think its gay for a guy to work at bbw, i was just a stocker for the holidays and it was packed with hot ladies the whole time, it was good
