My wife's grandmother had 3 zip lock bags full of pre 1964 quarters (the ones made of silver?). She had saved them because no japanese bank would take them (for some reason)

Godaddy does the hosting, and ironically, I pushed for the direct link, however my father is as stubborn as a mule and had to have the web page. It's kind of assbackwards to me, most hits come from people who have bought/shopped at the ebay store then go back and look at the page and inventory, I told him this would happen before we got this thing rolling. Explaining this to pops is a pain in the *** as is, someone who carried an m-14 across rice patties back when computers took up an entire room. He is at the helm on this, I am lending support, it took long enough to get him to step back at the painting business, I don't know if i'm ready for another battle over another business! I 'll be in touch though once I get him up to speed on the idea!

Again circulated coins are not worth all that much, but in this case they are silver, so they are worth more than 25 cents each, but not more than the going rate for silver by the ounce.

 

So pretty much a coin that has been touched by hundreds of hands is not worth ****. Even if it's very old?

unless it is very rare or was a mint defect that somehow passed final inspection and made it out into the world.

 

I have one of those rare gold $50 coins. It is mint as can be, never distributed. But because it holds sentimental value it'll never be sold.

 

Is it the octogonal $50 or other? one is far more rare then the other.
