Mine is with Grundy, state to state varies greatly as Banzai just said Grundy wont write in SC. I could not get haggerty to accept my policy, I could have tried to list it as a "exotic", but then the agreed value starts at $15000 and that policy was $350 or so, who is to say they would even accept my car as a "exotic".

Like my boss has 12 or so cars insured with JC Taylor insurance, they wont write policies in North Carolina where he actually keeps all the cars, he is shopping for a new company to insure them there since he moved all his cars there 2 years ago.

Limitations were as follows:

-all drivers in the household have to be 25+ years of age

-must have garage for the vehicle

-supply photos of interior, exterior, and engine bay pics

-each licensed driver has to have a car not more then 10 years old for a daily driver

-clean license obviously

they did not give me mileage or use limitations but the policy is basically written out that you will NOT be using the car as a back up vehicle, or to go to work, run errands, basically to repairs, shows, etc..

alot of companies are now writing cars that are newer because you may need agreed value, like if you have a Enzo or something like that, regular insurance policies dont really suit those cars. I have a vendor who has his Camaro Pace Car and his Impala SS insured as collectors and they are only a few years old.

In NYS $895 is about the bottom for insurance with no comp or collision, thats just basic liability

My Mazda 6 with full coverage is only $965, my Lexus is like $1100 or something, and the F-250SD is like $1050, or somewhere around that.
