only carpet = stink

 

My carpet stinks now. The neighbours hot water heater busted open and everything got soaked.

 

that sucks did your carpet mold up at all?



even after you clean it, it can still mold wont it?

 

Theres a couple big stains now and I think the foam underneath is where the smell is coming from.

a friend of mine ran into this last year (idiot house builders put a drywall screw thru the toilet drain), and she bleached the **** out of the carpets, it kept the MUSHROOMS from coming back, but you couldnt be in that room for months

I think insurance will likely end up replacing it.

 

yeah it was pretty funny, her roomate got a mushroom log for a present, and he put it inside where the spoors got into the central heater, then that pipe leaked, causing the carpet to be wet, so the mushrooms grew.....
