why do u need insurance on your home when u got a pitbull that is all the insurance you need, i would love to see someone come in my house unarmed and try steal something. But a pitbull is no less dangerous than a pug! It all is how the owner trains the dog. My pitbull is nice unless you hurt her.

we had a leonbuger, streched out he was like 5'7, great dog though, like a walking hallway rug, we honestly got more letters and cards when he died than both of my dad partents put together.

Wow, some of you are missing a valid point as to why they are restricted:
Yes, neglect a dog and it'll be that way, it can occur with other dogs too, agreed.
But, not all dogs have the temper that the dogs on that list have. Most dogs will become more isolated and just pull their tail under their legs at the sight of humans....
...others...take it out on everyone.
Also, there are many cases where a perfectly fine and healthy dog (Such as a K9 German Shepherd) just snapped and bit at a person (you've seen it on those TV shows, i know you have) and they weren't neglected one bit (IF anything, babied).
So of course, neglection/abuse will lead to an angry dog, but that's usually the case accross the board. There is more to it than simply that, these dogs on the list have a nature to be defensive/etc and statistically have been proven to be at a risk too easily.....
