You are required by law to report to your homeowners insurance company that oyu own a dog no matter what kind it is.

bricke's wife could confirm that. If your dog bites someone they can sue you. Usually your homeowners policy would cover you in such an event. If they were not notified that you had a dog then the rider for the dog is not added to your policy. In that case your insurance company washes their hands of you and you get to take the hit from the lawsuit.

If you tell your insurance company you have a pit and they drop you your mortgage company will give you a world of grief.

Basically the insurance companies have already made then illegal.

I personally love dogs and hate Pits, Rotties, and Dobermans mainly due to problems with them in the past.

I am a Land Surveyor I go in peoples yards. I have seen many mean dogs. Most I can win over, I keep dog treats in the truck, a majority of the Pitts and Rotties and Dobermans heel Sheperds for that matter could not be won over.

The most insane dogs I have ever seen the ones that scared me the most were pits.

One pit was in the ghetto. It hade what looked to be a tow truck chain around its neck. We walked into this backyard and all we saw was it running at us. At first we did not see the chain, then suddenly the doag was about 3 feet off the ground as its chain jerked it back. We had started to run, I had already picked out the tree I was going up whne I glanced back and saw it flip in the air. It just kept growling and pulling at that chain with all its might the whole time we were on that jobsite.

Its chain was anchored in the ground, the chain was wrapped around a riding lawn mower that was half buried in the ground.

I though I was going to die that day.

Would a tazer or pepper spray help out in your field? Or large gun?

Nope, kindness goes much further. Taze them and your looking over your shoulder for the rest of the job. Feed them a cool treat and they are your best friend. If I feed then and they will not let me on their property I move on ans schedule for the owner to put them up.

Like I said I like dogs and would prefer to make friends with them over hurting them.

I have a red nose pitt that would like to meet the both of them.
That statement right there personifies the mentality of your typical pit bull owner. Everything you said after that is mute you ruined your credibility with that lone statement.

You are right on the money. If you have a dog that bites someone and your insurance either doesn't know or you don't have insurance because it's a Restricted Breed dog, you can kiss your *** goodbye. Someone WILL take you to the cleaners, all because of your dog. Worth it? Hell no. There's a good reason insurance companies will not accept home owners with these dogs. Too many problems and not worth the risk.

I like pits cause they are like me, easy going until they are fucked with, and a touch crazy.

If insurance companies knew everything about me that they want too, I'm sure they wouldn't insure me either. Guess that's how the world works.

If you ask me what kind of pet I'd own, I'm gonna say none. It's that whole matenance thing that I can't stand. I'm living the bachelor life, and a pet might as well be a damn kid. Plus I do too much traveling.

Everyone has their opinion tho, but if i did have a dog, it would soooo kick all of your dogs asses.
