Why not exterminate them all! What good are they?

Do we really need their popcorn flavored carcases laying around.

Im sure if people exterminated them while they were dormant it would have an impact. I mean come on, you have 17 years to do it.

It would probably have an affect on natures balance, like cause a surge of african dung beetles or something.

I havn't seen any here yet this time but if you already have them in your area I would keep an eye on you rad/oil coolers(our cars are low enough to act like a vaccum cleaner esp.the 3rd gen) to make sure that you don't overheat your rx-7 due to some dead bug carcasses being in it

i remember the last time those things came out. I was a little kid, and I would grab the shells off of the trees and throw them on my girl cousins.

it was funny as hell at 4 years old......

but these things are nothing. I'll show you a bug to contend with here in a month or so when they come out. They are yellow and red and black grasshoppers, some get up to about 7" long. The mostly stay in the grass in the marsh by the river, but tons of them still make their way twards streeets, and houses. I'll get a pic whenever I go fishing down there again.

Could you take care of the pollen while you're at it?
