Got one tonight in the 98 Grand Cherokee 4.0 with 120k on it. Whats odd is I slid a bit, and the brakes froze almost at the top of the pedal, then ABS light came on. Shut the car off, restarted and it was off, but then the CEL came on. I disconnected the negative battery terminal, hope its just a temporary ECU fart, I have to drive to Long Island tomorrow! And some of you know how Long Island fares with me!

 

Don't know about the Long Island thing, but sucks about the Cherokee.. Good luck with it.

 

Yeah, no doubt! I'm lucky my other car doesn't give me any problems like that.. it's just a good 'ol simple CPI GM 90Deg V6. hehe!

 

I was right, it was a stupid fluke. Light never came back on. What a weird problem....
