The open wastegate isn't constantly open, it just isn't routed back into his exhaust system, and the exhaust bypassing the turbo goes to the open air.

Was that the exhaust leak you have 13BAce?

No, I have a leak somewhere on my downpipe. I'll ve making a new downpipe soon. So I'll worry about it later.
