Proper torque settings on your lug nuts.

so you torqued it all down but the wheel fell off? did the hub fall off or just the wheel bc it would be a pretty big coincidence if enough of the lug nuts broke at the same time to allow the wheel to actually fall off

Ok, he said 'front damage', which means his front wheel came off.. And 'snapped axle' which makes me wonder if the axle snapped and hence the lugnuts could remain intact.

i havent slept since last night so i was searching for words when i was typeing, but the nut that holds the wheel hub in place on the control arm aprently came loose and my hub popped off of it, my fender is a bit fubard because the wheel and hub assembly snapped back and got dragged along the ground into the car.. earlier in the week i snapped 3 out of 5 wheel studs and only had one lug left on the remaining two, so im not ruleing anything out as a possability

That happened to my friend the one day on the way to the bar. I had to drive about half mile down the expressway to get the wheel.
