Car Log?
#1
Have been contemplating putting one together since I don't have one. Remembering everything thats been done, as well as what needs to be done, and when it needs to be done is getting difficult.
Thinking of just putting something together in excel. Any of you keep a log? How do you keep it?

ive seen some retardedly detailed ones, normally its really detailed when they get repaid by the company for what goes on with the vehicle.,
This one log had everything written, beginning mileage, and ending mile for EVERYTIME THE CAR WAS USED. Such as
"Start: 10,840 End 10,845; Home to shell gas station, $10 regular 3.34gallons"
then
"Start: 10,845 End 10,850: Shell Gas Station to Home; Park"
id hate to drive.

I always billed the customer for mileage and kept all receipts for fuel.

I think they make a gizmo for that if you need extreme detail.
I've always kept at least a paper log in the glovebox of every car I've ever had. I always write down the mileage, gallons, price & station every time I put fuel in it. To keep track of the MPG mostly, but it serves as a general log too as I always write in when I change oil or do any work to the car.
When I got my TII I went a little further with excel, but it's nothing I would want anyone to copy as it's a melange. It got crazy big with I don't know how many sheets with every bit of info. I could dig up over a couple of years.
Cheers
