Well I bought it used from a 'rice tire' down the street. They had like 4 of them because they got new lifts. Its called a 'tire lift' because its good for changing tires, suspension work, ect. There is good clearance under the engine too.

The lift will get the car about 4 feet off the ground, its almost all the way up in the picture.

I bought it for $250, all it needed was a new cylindar (which i got off one of hte other lifts (the others wernt in as good shape as this one)

Its made by 'Rotary' (heh good match eh?) lifts. this is all I know about it

Another link... http://www.doublepark.net/

Unfortunately my garage is not tall enough...

JimmyJimboJet 08-13-2003 02:33 PM

i like bobby's lift, but my brother and i are looking for a 2-post, low ceiling (8ft) lift. we can cut holes in the ceiling around the columns, if necessary.

here's one i found from eastwood: http://www.eastwoodco.com/email/default.asp?T1=43196

and it's looking to be one of the only ones that will work for us.

banzaitoyota 08-13-2003 02:36 PM

au contra:

the eastwood is a BENDPAK searchn on them

You will get it cheaper than froom eastwood

rfreeman27 08-13-2003 02:38 PM

whats the point of buying a lift like that with a low celing? that is my problem too, and once a new garage is built (im moving in a few months) Ill have the space for one.

fritzfry 08-13-2003 07:44 PM

rfreeman, are those vertical posts part of your light-load lift? i wonder how to position some of these 2 post lifts with a garage door opener?

looks like the light-load lift from rotary will do fine...6000 lbs and up to 47". as my Dad sometimes says, "Good enough for a state worker" LOL

thanks to everybody for posting their links!
