can someone help me find that thread which showed pics & gave info on the inexpensive car lift you can put on the floor of your garage? how much do those things run?

if i get the garage (w/ house attached) i'm hoping for, i'd like to try one of these lifts so that Baldy doesn't have a hard time going back & forth from under my car to get tools....just kidding Patrick...uh, i can hand you the tools.LOL! https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

expect to spend 3000-3500 for a quality 7000 lb. centerpost lift

Sinful7 08-13-2003 12:07 PM

Centerpost?? Don't those require things like cutting up the garage floor and stuff? what about a corner post above ground lift.. less work, can be used for vehicle storage..

notes to self:

1. become fritz's close, personal friend

2. use fritz's lift

3. smack fritz upside the head, reference this thread

is this going to happen in Tally?

fritzfry 08-13-2003 12:36 PM

yeah, i was looking for that particular type of lift, i can't find the thread..argh...i hope it's not in that 3K price range..

Patrick..LOL, yeah my comment was a continuation from my response to your finances thread a couple of weeks ago. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png are you working on that?

Well I bought it used from a 'rice tire' down the street. They had like 4 of them because they got new lifts. Its called a 'tire lift' because its good for changing tires, suspension work, ect. There is good clearance under the engine too.

The lift will get the car about 4 feet off the ground, its almost all the way up in the picture.

I bought it for $250, all it needed was a new cylindar (which i got off one of hte other lifts (the others wernt in as good shape as this one)

Its made by 'Rotary' (heh good match eh?) lifts. this is all I know about it
